Australian Made

All manufacturing is undertaken in Australia, ensuring the finished product is compliant with strict Australian standards.

Quality Control

All units are quality inspected and checked before dispatch, as per a strict quality control process.

Pool Void Covers®

Choose from 3 different systems – according to your house building/site requirements.

  • Level 1 – Trafficable Work Platform – 220kg SWL.
Industry standard entry level cover. 220kg is the assumption of 2 x Tradespeople (@100kg each), and their tools (20kg).
  • Level 2 – Scaffold Rated Cover – 225kg SWL
Similar to a Trafficable Work Platform, but scaffold systems rated to 225kg can be installed on top of the Pool Void Cover®
  • Level 3 – Scaffold Rated Cover – 450kg SWL
Extra Heavy Duty Cover, rated to support a 450kg Scaffold system on top of the Pool Void Cover®.

All systems have a SWL (Safe Working Load) for every 1800mm section on the long length of the pool. So, if your pool is 7m long – you can support the SWL weight load from 0 to 1800mm; 1800mm to 3600mm; 3600mm to 5400mm and finally 5400mm to 7000mm.

Compliant

Supply chain monitoring, internal manufacturing checks, material checks and full traceability systems are utilised to ensure all our manufactured Pool Void Covers® meets and exceeds the required Australian standards.

Engineer Designed

All materials through the supply chain are sourced according to certified engineering recommendations, including material grade rating and structural specification.

What do I need to provide?

For a quote, we only need some simple information, but if available, we ask for a copy of the pool and or builder drawings.

Once a quote is accepted, our office will talk you through the process, and make contact with all relevant parties (Pool builder; House Site Manager etc)

For a system to be installed, we must know accurate dimensions of the void and access requirements – so each job has a pre-site inspection and measure up.

This allows us to ensure the installation is done correctly – first time, every time.

Throughout the process, from initial quote enquiry to installation, and demobilisation – our friendly professional team will provide you with all the right advice, documentation and certification.

There are a number of components to a Pool Void Covers® system, these include:

  • Beams – running across the width of the pool. Specified to Australian engineering standards, and removing the need for acrow props. Acrow props can damage the pool floor surface.
  • The Void Cover Panel – available in a standard range – or can be custom built upon request. These are a sturdy platform that are mounted onto the pool beams. The number of panels is determined by the width and length of the pool to be covered.
  • All of our covers are a full lock down system – that can only be removed with tools.

We can cover a small plunge pool to a large commercial swimming pool – our systems are modular so can be made as small, or as large, as you require. Our 225kg SWL Scaffold Rated Pool Void Covers® can cover a pool waterline width of up to 7 metres, without the need for acrow props. The length of the pool is unlimited, we have covered lap pools to over 30m+ length. Used on sleeper pools whilst the house build is completed.

Our system is the number one choice for ensuring your pool is safe whilst work is being undertaken in the pool area. The system can be installed for long periods at a time – allowing for peace of mind from knock down rebuild and house building to lock up stage.

For existing pool owners – when major works are being undertaken on your property – this system meets all safety regulations; ensures a safe working environment for the contractors; and provides a safe area whilst existing pool fencing may be removed.

In addition, depending on the distance of your pool from your house, you may need to cover the pool when contractors/builders are working on your roof, or when scaffolding is required around your house build.

In addition, the system has also been designed, so that for existing pools, it is easy to install, and causes no damage to your existing pool upon installation and removal.

The normal applications for the Pool Void Covers® system are:

  • Developers and designers – Project management, allowing for a 100% safe work environment for staff and contractors;
  • House Builders – Removes the need for pool temporary fencing, allowing contractors to undertake their work safely. In addition, when the contractors leave at night – there are no fences to put back up to ensure a safe zone.
  • Home Owners – Your new house builder/site manager will advise you on when you will need a Pool Void Covers® system. We deal with all major builders across Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane – and understand all of the different state regulations and requirements that are needed for your new house build.
  • Whether you are having your house built from new, or undertaking development, or having a KDR (Knock Down Rebuild), the Pool Void Covers® system allows the peace of mind that your pool is fully protected and secure whilst you have renovations and work undertaken.

The cost is dependent on a number of factors – the size of the pool, the safety rating you require, and the duration of the rental period.

Click on the ‘Get Quote’ button – and we will specify a system entirely for your requirements.

No, we do not retail our systems – as we are a rental company.

In addition, as the product is a safety system and for insurance requirements, it must only be installed by qualified personnel.

Our systems are designed and manufactured by us in Australia.

Click on the ‘Get Quote’ button and we will specify the right number of panels and requirements for your local agent.

The system has been designed to be easy to install and remove, but due to the high risk of our business – working at heights, building site requirements, working near open water – our systems are only installed by our in-house teams – who are trained professionals and had the appropriate training.

After install, the system is signed off with an Engineering Certificate.

The time to install the cover depends on the access to the pool area, and the size of the pool to be covered. Installation can take from 30 minutes for a small plunge pool to 2 hours for a larger pool.

The simple answer is yes, we can cover any shape pool, and any type of pool.

We have different systems to adapt to your own requirements – so if you have a feature wall, or a waterfall feature – or a large rockery alongside the pool – we can still install a system to meet your requirements.

Our in-house engineering team will review your requirements and come up with a system for you.

There are a number of manufacturers of plunge style pools that have different loading requirements, and we modify our systems to meet the pool manufacturers designs.

There are some unique style of pools on the market, and some do not allow you to put any weight on the side of the pool at all. This can be an issue if you need to put scaffold over the top of your pool.

We have designed scaffold rated engineered Pool Void Covers® that are ‘floating’ and do not even physically touch your pool.
